Dear Client,
Please take note of the following very important points to make sure that your painting project runs smoothly and that we can hand over the project on schedule

OTHER CONTRACTORS/RENOVATIONS – Please ensure that we are the very last contractor involved in the renovation of your home. We need to avoid any other renovation to be on-going while we are priming and painting your kitchen. In other words, all floor tiling, wall tiling, plastering, bricklaying, other painting work…or any activity such as drilling, grinding or any other renovation that can cause dust or affect the kitchens’ painted finish should be completed before we can commence work on your kitchen. If we find that the quality of our work and our workflow is being affected negatively by dust, debris or interruptions by other contractors we reserve the right to cease our operations until such time that we are confident that we can deliver the high-quality finish expected by our clients. NB: PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OR WORKMANSHIP OF OTHER CONTRACTORS EVEN IF THEY WERE REFERED BY US.

SECURITY ESTATE ACCESS – If your project is in a Security Estate, please ensure that the relevant forms allowing contractors access to the estate are filled in by you granting our team access. Please ensure that they are ready and waiting for us at the gate security on the day of commencement of the project. If any fees are charged to gain access it will be for the account of you the client and will be added to the final invoice.

PAINT COLOURS & COLOUR SCHEME – It is very important that all paint colours are finalized and colour swatches signed off before commencement of the work. We realize that the project is a creative process and that colours can change during the project but it is important to note that changes to paint colours will incur extra costs and possible delays in completing the project.

FIXTURES & FITTINGS – We will detach any fixtures or fittings (curtain rails, blinds, doors, etc) if necessary to prepare and paint. We will refit/install these fixtures/fittings to the best of our ability but are not responsible for any damage or defects caused by the removal of such fixtures/fittings.

AREAS TO BE PAINTED - Please be aware that we paint all surfaces and areas that are visible. Cupboard/Cabinet interiors are not painted unless specifically requested at an extra cost.

FITTING OF NEW FITTINGS, FIXTURES OR HARDWARE – If you decide to replace the existing fixtures/fittings we will endeavour to re-install them at no extra cost, however extra costs will incur if the installation requires the marking out, drilling, attaching which is outside the original scope of work and incurs additional time and labour. The extra costs will be seen as a variation order and will be quoted for separately.

PAINT CURING TIME – After we have completed your project it is VERY important to be aware that even if the paint is dry to the touch, it will need 2 weeks to fully cure to its hardened durable state. During this time please be careful to avoid any hard knocks or scrapes and please DO NOT use any chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges to clean the surfaces. You can use a damp cloth to wipe down the surfaces in the first 2 weeks.

WEATHER CONDITIONS – Very cold and damp weather can negatively affect paint adhesion and drying qualities. If we find that inclement weather will negatively affect the quality of the paint finish, we will advise you and we will take the necessary action to ensure a good finish.

CLEARING OF ROOMS FOR INTERIOR PAINTING - We request that clients make sure that all rooms are cleared of valuable items to avoid breakages and damages. Our staff will move and cover any furniture/heavy items however, we do not take any responsibility for any breakages, damage to any surfaces, items or furniture. Also, if the moving of furniture/items by our staff incurs prolonged and extended labour which was not quoted for, extra costs will be charged.

GUARANTEES – Please note that we do not warrant any defects, failure or quality of the materials (primers, paint, sealers) used. Any material guarantees should be taken up with the manufacturer of the materials.

WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY - We will remedy any defective workmanship and at our sole discretion repair or fix any faulty workmanship reported to us in writing within 90 days of completion of the work or any defined stage of the work, or within any longer period agreed or stated in our quotation. We will not be liable for any consequential costs whatsoever arising directly or indirectly out of any defect or failure of materials as stated in the previous clause.

INSPECTION/TOUCH UPS - Under certain circumstances, you may notice that something that we missed. You are required to perform your post completion inspection within 48 hours after we’ve left the Project site. If you fail to notify us within this allocated time, you MAY be responsible for additional fees related to travel time and materials. Once any identified items have been properly remedied, the Project will be considered “closed” and any further requested work will be subject to additional charges.

MILESTONE PAYMENTS – We do require a deposit of 65% of the project price at least 5 days before commencement of work thereafter we will invoice for a milestone payment of 30% of the project price upon completion of all the deep cleaning, degreasing, preparation, application of any primer as well as the first coat of paint. The final 5% is payable on completion of the project which includes the final coat of paint, the reattachment of fittings/fixtures.

WORK AREA, ABLUTIONS & STORAGE – We require that ablutions and a changing area be provided for our staff as well as a covered work area and a secure area for the storage of our tools and materials during the course of the project.

ACCEPTANCE OF CONTRACT – Please be aware that upon payment of the deposit invoiced to you, it is understood and that you have read and accept these terms and conditions.

CASH PAYMENTS – Please note that cash payment will carry a 5% surcharge due to cash deposit fees charged by banking institutions.
CANCELLATIONS – If you should cancel the project after the deposit has been paid but before work has commenced and materials & labour have been procured, an amount of 50% (of total project cost) will be retained as a cancellation fee to cover materials, pre-allocated labour, lost revenue as well as management, admin & marketing costs. If you should cancel after the deposit has been paid and work has commenced and materials have been procured, there will be no refunds and the 65% deposit will be retained to cover labour, materials as well as management and admin fees
KITCHEN & BATHROOM REFINISHING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Dear Client,
Please take note of the following very important points to make sure that your kitchen makeover runs smoothly and that we can hand over your “face lifted” kitchen on schedule.
• CONSULTATION FEE: There is a consultation fee of R600 which is payable before the appointment date scheduled to give an initial colour consultation and assessment of the scope of work to enable us to submit a final quotation. If the quotation is accepted and the project commences, this amount will be refunded and deducted from the final cost of the project.
In the event that the client needs to cancel a scheduled appointment, a minimum notice of 24 hours prior to the appointment time is required. If the client cancels or reschedules with less than 24 hours' notice, the contractor reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. This policy is in place to cover any potential loss of time and resources.

• CABINET DOORS & DRAWERS – We will detach your kitchen cabinet doors and drawers which will be prepared, primed and painted either on your premises if possible or in our workshop to avoid clutter in your home while we work. We will assess each project to decide whether to finish the doors on site or at our workshop. We will use the method which is the most suitable for the project. Please be aware that we paint all areas that are visible (all cabinet exteriors as well as open shelves, interiors of glass display cabinets and wine racks) Cabinet interiors are not painted unless specifically requested at an extra cost.
PLEASE NOTE: While every effort will be made to adjust hinges and drawer runners to re-align existing and old kitchen cabinet doors and drawers, we cannot guarantee successful realignment due to the age, condition, or wear of the components. Stubborn doors and drawers that are resistant to adjustment may require the services of an outside expert for further assistance. The contractor shall not be held responsible for any failure to achieve proper alignment in such cases
• FITTING OF NEW HANDLES OR HARDWARE – If you decide to replace the existing handles with handles that do not fit the existing screw holes and require the filling of existing holes, marking out and drilling of new holes to accommodate the new handles, extra costs will incur as it is a very time consuming and labour-intensive exercise. In the event during the course of the project we find any worn or defective hinges or drawer runners we will inform you and we leave the decision to replace them to you. NB: there are extra costs for the fitting of the new hardware.
• PAINT CURING TIME – After we have completed your kitchen it is VERY important to be aware that even if the paint is dry to the touch, it will need 2 weeks to fully cure to its hardened durable state. • CLEARING OF KITCHEN CUPBOARDS - We request that clients make sure that all kitchen cupboards are cleared before we commence work to avoid breakages and paint odours contaminating foodstuffs. If our staff are required to clear your cupboards, we do not take any responsibility for any breakages, damage or tainting of food. Also, if the clearing of the cupboards by our staff incurs prolonged and extended labour which was not quoted for, extra costs will be charged.
• GUARANTEES – Please note that we do not warrant any defects, failure or quality of the materials (primers, paint, sealers) used. Any material guarantees should be taken up with the manufacturer of the materials.

Once any identified items have been properly remedied, the Project will be considered “closed” and any further requested work will be subject to additional charges.
• MILESTONE PAYMENTS – We require a deposit of 70% of the project price at least 4 days before commencement of work thereafter we will invoice the balance payment of 30% which is due upon completion of all the deep cleaning, degreasing, preparation, application of the of primer as well as the second/pre-final coat of paint. The final seal coat and the reattachment of the doors and drawers will be completed after receipt of the balance. As stated before, you are required to perform your post completion inspection within 48 hours after we’ve left the project site and to notify us in writing with photos (via email or Whatsapp) of the problem areas within 7 days. We will rectify any touch ups or problems due to our workmanship at no charge. Any accidental damages not caused by us will be charged for. (PLEASE READ THE “CARING FOR YOUR PAINTED KITCHEN” BELOW TO ENSURE THAT THE PAINTED SURFACES ARE ALLOWED THE CORRECT TIME AND CARE TO FULLY CURE TO IT’S FINAL DURABILITY)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CARING FOR YOUR NEWLY PAINTED KITCHEN
Proper care after painting your kitchen can help preserve the finish and maintain a fresh, clean look. Here are step-by-step instructions to care for your newly painted kitchen:
1. **Allow Paint to Cure**
Drying Time:** While the paint may feel dry to the touch after 24 hours, it can take up to 2 weeks for the paint to fully cure.
Avoid Heavy Cleaning:** During the first 2 weeks, avoid any heavy scrubbing or use of harsh cleaners on the cabinets/tile surfaces.
2. **Ventilation is Key**
Leave the Doors & Drawers slightly open.** For the first 2 days after completion of the project to avoid that the surfaces stick to each other while the paint fully dries.
Keep Air Flowing:** Ensure proper ventilation in the kitchen by opening windows.
Control Moisture:** Kitchens are prone to moisture, so make sure to reduce humidity levels by using a dehumidifier if necessary.
Mild Detergents:** Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner (like dish soap diluted with water) to gently wipe down any grease, food splatters, or dirt.
Avoid Scrubbing:** Do not use abrasive sponges, brushes, or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the paint surface.
4. **Spot Cleaning**
Immediate Cleanup:** For spills or grease splatters, it’s best to clean them immediately with a damp
Stubborn Spots:** For tougher stains, try a mixture of warm water and a small amount of baking soda. Apply it gently with a soft cloth, then rinse with clean water and dry the area.
5. **Preventing Damage**
- **Avoid Sharp Objects:** Be mindful of sharp kitchen tools or items that could scratch or chip the walls.
6. **Regular Dusting**
Keep Dust-Free:** Regularly dust the painted surfaces with a feather duster or a dry microfiber cloth to prevent buildup.
7. **Periodic Repainting**
Touch-ups:** Over time, minor touch-ups might be needed to maintain a fresh look. Please contact us and we will do any touch-ups or refresher coats at a nominal charge.
